We offer you two different types of memberships based on your journey so far with the Irish language. You’ll make Irish part of your every day life, by learning, practising and speaking it.
MEMBERSHIP FOR BEGINNERS AND EXPLORERS TO LEARN ON YOUR OWN
With our EXPLORE membership, you will have access to our extensive online courses library – Bitesize Cúrsaí and you can take daily bites at your own pace. This is a great plan for learners who are starting from the very beginning. With thousands of audio recordings with phonetic spelling, you can practice pronunciation, and video lessons explaining the finer points of the language. You will soon be familiar with everyday Irish.
* bitesize cúrsaí
Bitesize Cúrsaí online courses are available to you to take at any time, in any order. Take them at your own pace. Go back and repeat lessons in courses you have already completed. Your progress is displayed.
MEMBERSHIP FOR ACTIVE LEARNERS TO LEARN AND PRACTICE TOGETHER
(including if your classes have been cancelled!)
With our GROW membership, you will become a daily practitioner of the Irish language – with others. A language is to be used to connect with others. If you usually attend Gaeilge classes, this is a valuable chance to connect with others outside of your class. Regardless of classes, this is suitable if you’re already on your journey into the Irish language. You will have access to all of our online Bitesize Cúrsaí, and on top of that you will be invited to our Bitesize Pobal community where our daily prompts will help you with your Gaeilge Gach Lá. Get feedback on your progress from fluent staff members. Weekly Bitesize Beo scripted video calls with a fluent speaker will give you the chance to practice Irish with others.
* bitesize pobal
Bitesize Pobal is a private community forum with daily prompts. It will allow you to connect with others who are on similar journeys, and find a sense of belonging. Fluent staff members provide you with feedback on your progress, and will try to support your journey. Regular live forum chats and member video calls on topics such as Irish culture and learning. Focal na Seachtaine (word of the week) themes give you the structure to try out expressing yourself around a specific topic. Bitesize Pobal is where you’ll feel like you belong.
Participation in the community is subject to good behaviour policies. Therefore, payment of membership does not give an automatic right to remain in the community. This is at the discretion of Bitesize Irish.
* bitesize beo
Usually each Tuesday at 8pm Irish time (3pm Eastern), we hold one or more group conversation video calls. A fluent Irish speaker facilitates the conversation. Scripted role-play to get you speaking, even if you can’t yet express yourself. More open topic-based conversations for more advanced learners. Call times are coordinated in Bitesize Pobal, the private community. We also facilitate multiple Members Beo run by members of the community.
If you cannot make a call, there is no “credit” available for additional calls. We post learning notes on Bitesize Pobal after calls normally, so you can benefit even if you don’t attend.

COURAGE FOR CONVERSATION
MISNEACH LE COMHRÁ
Attend online group conversations with a fluent speaker with Bitesize Beo (for GROW members). Regular conversation is possibly the most valuable activity you can take on on your Irish language journey. A language is for expressing yourself with others. Do you feel unready for conversation? Think about it the other way around: kids converse for several years before starting to converse. You get to have conversations because you speak it over and over again. You are welcome to attend even if you can’t speak it: our scripted conversations give you a chance to role-play. For more advanced learners, we’re happy to facilitate more open conversation around specific topics in Gaeilge, so that you can get immediate feedback on how you’re expressing yourself.
Sign up today, and you will be billed for one month today, and you’ll have access until the end of the period for which you have paid. You will be billed monthly. Try our method for 30 days, and if it doesn’t help you, you can downgrade to a lower plan or request a refund. Due to the technical constraints of our technology platform, we can only bill in one currency. We have chosen USD as our billing currency, as many of our customers are outside of Ireland. If your card is not in USD, it’s likely that your bank will add additional charges or a conversion rate, and the amount you’ll pay in your currency will vary with currency exchange rates. There is no fixed contract and you can cancel online any time.
* upgrade / downgrade
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan online in your Account. Your membership fee will be pro-rated. If you’re upgrading, you’ll just pay the difference until the next month. If you’re downgrading, your account will be credited for the difference that you paid for but did not use.
