What is Leabharlann / Library?
It’s a membership subscription that gives you immediate access to the core self-paced learning material from Bitesize Irish (Tús Maith and Aistear Reference Pack). It’s an on-going service with monthly guidance based on the courses and a chance to ask the team, so that you can always dip back in if life has been busy.
How does Leabharlann / Library work?
Your home is the Aistear (“journey”) learning platform, where all your courses and resources live. There, you’ll be able to click through to Tús Maith and track your progress. You’ll also be able to access the Aistear Reference Pack. Each week, a new notice is posted with guidance, reflection and an invitation to ask the team. Ask your question by replying to the post, or contacting us directly on Aistear, and we’ll reply by email during the week.
How long does Leabharlann / Library take?
Every person’s learning journey is different. Some people can finish the 10-module course Tús Maith in a couple of months’ dedicated learning time. Other people may like to take even multiple years to learn and re-learn material. Additionally, Aistear Reference Pack is a quick-access to specific language topics. You can jump right in when you want to learn about a specific language topic. We’ve distilled the essential concepts for adult learners into Aistear Reference Pack.
What can I do after Leabharlann / Library?
Throughout your journey, the monthly guidance gives you a rhythm to get back in. When you’ve covered all the learning material you’ll feel more confidence in practising your Irish. We invite you to upgrade to Tinteán for daily practise in community and an exclusive course, in addition to your existing learning material. However, there’s no pressure. You can remain a Leabharlann member indefinitely in order to access the learning materials and be inspired by the weekly guidance.

What are the payment options?

Simple. Contact us, or better yet cancel directly any time in your Aistear account. When you cancel, you’ll have access to the courses and weekly guidance until the end of your billing period.
