Seacht mBealach / Seven Ways Book

I have been reading it day by day. Finding it simple, as I am an Irish speaker.

I love the easy to read chapters and the bilingual aspect so it helps me understand the Irish. I really feel I’m getting the full experience of using Irish. I feel that I can do a little bit at a time so I can be more consistent with my learning.

Just enjoying dipping into the book , most days but not yet gach lá. Love being able to listen and re-listen and practice pronunciation. Enough of a challenge but not daunting.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I was reading as Gaelige instead of as Béarla. Tá an leabhair tar éis alán cabhair a thabairt dom leis an teanga agus anois níl mé buartha má dhéanaim botúin, agus anois déanaim iarracht gach lá an teanga a spreagadh!

Our personal journeys are unique and profound. What helped me was the reminder to be kind to ourselves, to take our time, and to let go of the idea of perfection, because that will hold us back. Those really resonated with me. It’s a wonderful guide, not only for beginning learners but everyone who is on the journey.

It’s easy to take anywhere…this is in my car before ukelele group…in my car is great because being early to things is my habit. Being given permission to take the language up with no expectations other than you dip in when, where and how you can..brilliant…cuts through my perfectionist self sabotage. 🙏

Find myself opening it over a cup of coffee from time to time… A fun way of re-learning Gaeilge!

I started a marvelous and long-life journey through the Irish language. Something was missing.
This book ” Seacht mBealach”, provided it: un compagnon de voyage, a travel companion, an excellent guide, at once philosophical, poetic and, last but not least, practical.

I started reading the book & listening along to the audio. I love the concept of hearing & reading, I do think it helps with comprehension. Go raibh maith agat!

I’ve added Irish as part of my morning routine. I have been reading this book in the morning with my tea. 🙂 The book mentions making flashcards. I did that last year and made a deck for sessions.
