Where are you From?

Asking where someone is from, or telling someone where you are from, are important building blocks in starting a conversation in Irish.

To say where you are from, you simply use the structure ‘Is as ___ dom’

Cad as duit? (Where are you from?)

Is as Éirinn dom. (I am from Ireland)
