Thanks for aaaall the feedback. We really appreciate it. By popular demand, we’re going with design Uimhir a Dó! But thanks to everyone for sharing their vote.
The “Learn Irish With Eoin” will be a single abridged album. If you want the full audio program, check it out here, with samples on that page.
Uimhir a Dó! Definitely!
i prefer number 2
Uimhir a Dó! Seems more traditional & irish than the first. plus looks much nicer!
I prefer the number 2 cover it looks more traditional and as Gaelic is a traditional language, number two seems to fit the bill
Uimhir a Dó!!!!
It looks more beautiful than the first one.
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó
Uhimir a Do!

2
Uimhir a Dó!
Uimhir a Dó!
That much more reminiscent of an Irish setting.
Go raibh maith agat.
Uimhir a Dó, it is the best looking one.
The second one, hands down, no dispute. Choose it.
I prefer 2,the 1st one seems sort of childish to me
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó 🙂
Uimhir a hAon le do thoil – tá sé mhór
Uimhir a Dó!
Much nicer! The first one is too much..:D
Uimhir a Dó much cleaner!
Uimhir a Dó
hi no 2 has a REAL irish feel to it
kind regards
bill
Uimhir a Dó! Is maith liom an dearadh seo níos fearr.
You don’t need all these 3d effects and chaotic colors of the first variant.
Number 2
Truly, uimhir a do appears much better. Not only is it easier to read, and thus gets the message across more effectively; it also leaves room enough for the attractive Irish scene in the background to be more noticeable. Number 2 might be even better if the stones and fence posts to the left were left out. They seem to deflect attention away from the “Bitesize Irish Gaelic” rectangle, which is more important than the stones and fence posts. Perhaps changing the color of “with Eoin” to green, to match with “Learn” would add more harmony to the overall design, plus unite the ideas of “Learn” and “with Eoin.” The repeated use of blue and green in the overall picture lend a relaxing, attractive quality to the cover. Excellent work!
Nice to hear from you, Robert. Thanks for the details.
Uimhir a dó is maih é
Is fearr liom Uimhir a Do. Go raibh maith agat!
Dia dhuit, conas ta tu? I prefer uimhir a Do’ because it looks more attractive to the eye. Uimhir A hAon seems older and outdated to me. If I were to go in the store then I would grab up uimhir a Do’. Sla’n.
Uimhir a Dó
The first one is yelling at you! It looks terribly cheesy.
Uimhir a Dó
Easier to read and the photo plays better.
Thanks, Corey. And thanks for popping by!
Uimhir a Dó
It looks classier.
Uimhir a Dó
It shows up better
Uimhir a Dó.
Somehow strikes me as sharper and more compact. Why that’s better, I really couldn’t articulate. In the end I suppose “suum cuique” is what it comes down to.
Slán.
2 second one. Sorry tried to write in Irish but I don have the accent for the o 🙂
Uimhir a Dó 🙂
Uimhir a Dó
The second album cover looks so much more formal & attractive
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó!
(Mary Murphy’s comment mirrors my feelings)
No question in my mind….the second one wins by leaps and bounds…it is legible and attractive, number one feels a bit chaotic to me……but i am blowing my name into the pot of luck…as i would Love to win! I am on the road touring right now and will be home in mind november. Love to you and sasa,
Hope the tour is going well. Thanks for popping by, Mary!
Uimhir a do but the green circle behind the black makes me think of a golf ball.
Definitely prefer option 2 Eoin ! The text is clearer to read and the background picture has more of an Irish landscape feel to it.
i prefer number 2 or uimhir a do
“Uimhir a Do” (I don’t know how to do the accent marking, unfortunately)
“Uimhir a Dó”
We purchased the bundle already and I love what it adds to the online experience. It’s so handy for our active, homeschool family!
Really nice to hear that it’s adding to learning! Thanks for the feedback, Jody.
Uimhir A Do
Uimhir a Do
The cover seems to symbolize a path to learning
Interesting perspective, thanks for sharing.
Uimhir A hAon.
ta se go maith.
Tá an dá álainn, tá sé deacair a roghnú.
Tá sé deacair, is fíor é sin!
Umihir a haon
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a dó
Uimhir a haon
both are good though
Uimhir A hAon.
ta se go maith.
how do we do the accent mark ?
This can be tricky. If your computer is configured to an Ireland keyboard, then it’s as simple as typing AltGr+.
Or copy-paste from me here!
á ó ú í é
Á Ó Ú Í É
a Dó
Uimhir a Dó has a calmness about it. Much like I felt when visiting Ireland.
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a do looks nicer to me but Uimhir a hAon would stand out more if it was sitting on a shealf next to Uimhir a do.
Uimhir a hAon – Wonderful color, bursting & inviting. Uimhir a Do is nice as well just a little slower in my opinion, all in all great work!
Uimhir a Dó, I think the other is good, but the second is more appropriate I think.
I definitely prefer uimhir a Do
Uimhir a Dó” (number two) Much the classiest.
Uimhir a hAon – it’s vibrant and reflects the feel of the course.
Uimhir a Dó
I feel that number one is the best choice because, number one is eye catching and has really cool graphics that are not boring. I like number two but its plain and not eye popping like number two. If number one were sitting on a shelf it will catch people’s attention and drag them to it, unlike number 2 which is just a little plain and not as eye popping.
“I like number two but its plain and not eye popping like number two.” The two at the end was suppose to be a “one”.
Uimhir a hAon
Uimhir a Dó
Umihir a Do is my choice…it is cleaner and more concise. I do, however, like the “orbs” in Umihir a hAoan! They seem “magically delicious”! (A verra little Irish humor!)
Uimhir a hAon
Uimhir a Do! It’s clean & readable. The simple typeface super-imposed on a solid color do sets it apart from the photo on the background. 🙂
Uimhir a Do
Uimhir a Do, for sure! it looks natural and best reflects the irish language and culture 🙂
Uimhir a Do is best for me.
Uimhir a Do
LOVE this one, like the other but it seems too busy.
Absolutely number two; the colors are fresh and appealing, the background is more attractive, and it has a more polished look.
Dealraíonn Uimhir 2 i bhfad níos tarraingtí do mo shúile.
Either is good, but #2 a bit nicer to my eye.
Uimhir a Dó. Clean, crisp lettering with a better view of the Irish countyside.
Uimhir a Dó. It’s gorgeous. 🙂
Uimhir a Dó. But I the typeface in the white box should match the title in the circle:)
Number two most definitely. It’s very “clean”, sharp and professional in appearance.
Uimhir a Dó, definitely
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó
Also… I downloaded the audio bundle the other day… It is FANTASTIC so far!
Thanks!! Must look at the PDF’s now to be able to master writing in Irish!
Slan!
Hi Clare, tá sin go hiontach! Excellent! Really glad you’re enjoying the audio program so far. It was fun to record, to be able to explain the concepts in a new way.
Is fearr liom Uimhir a Dó freisin.
Is fearr liom Uimhir a Dó.
Uimhir a do.
AS it stands I vote for #2. I think you should keep developing #1.
#1 has something special (it’s just not done yet). It’s got a lot of good energy but it’s over the top with too many perspective angles and too many type treatments so it becomes difficult to read. I love the “Irish” in white and the suggestion of Ireland’s flag.
Really love your language program!
Eoin Go Maith!
Has to be number 2. Number 1 is way too fussy. It is over designed. Not sure where to start reading. It is too busy.
Uimhir a Dó
As the daughter of a big ad man, I’ll tell you that #2 is the better design.
It is clearer, easier to read, better proportioned, and allows view of the Irish landscape. #1 looks too cartoony and “in your face”. The language comes from a deep tradition, so go with the more traditional, classic look of cover #1.
Thanks for asking and good luck on this new project, Eoin!
Uimhir a Dó…Easier on the eye….
Is fearr liom an ceann go bhfuil ar an taobh deas agus lipéadach leis an uimhir a do (2)
Uimhir do’
Number 2
i prefer the second cover
Second one:)
Number 2
I much prefer #2. Cleaner and easier to read. The colors in #1 are overpowering. Very excited you are coming out with a DVD! I have been looking for something for my long car commute. I will hold off until yours become available.
It will be a digital album, the length of a CD. It’s a quick shortened version of the full audio program bundle that we now offer. Really up to you, how far you want to dive in.
deffinatly the second one
Is fearr liom uimhir a haon. Geal, nua-aimseartha.
Is maith liom é.
The second one for sure
I think “Uimhir a Dó” is the best
2 is the 1!! 😉
#2 because you can see more of the beautiful Irish countryside. I just returned from my first trip to Ireland. The wonderful people, Guinness and sheer beauty are unforgettable.
Uimhir a Dó
Hi,
Is maith liom uimhir a Dó. An Oileán Emerald díreach sin!
Slán go fóill.
I prefer Dó…the first one looks like a spin off of “NOW that’s what I call music”. Looks too Pop.
Uimhir a Dó
It’s much more pleasing to the eye.
I prefer the second one.
We haven’t responded to each vote individually, but really a big thanks to all who have voted so far.
I much prefer the second one – cleaner, classier… easier to read.
Thanks for asking my opinion!
Slan go foil
(sorry, no accents)
Is fear limo uimhir a do.

Number two!
p.s. It’s silly I know, but often I tend to feel inside that the package must give me more when there is an over-sized graphic on it. I guess that’s why they use large graphics and over-sized boxes (much larger than the product inside) in the stores.
Definitely Uimhir a háon. I go for the big, the bold, and a good hierarchy in design. If the most important thing in the design is what it says it is…then hierarchy has been achieved in An chéad sampla (I just LOVE Google Translate).
🙂
Hi,
I like “uimhir a do” best, I think it really “looks” Irish, so it may be more attractive to people with a particular interest in everything Irish! But “uimhir a haon” is lovely as well, it’s trendy !
Slan go foill,
Diane
I like number two the best.
Uimhir a Dó. Definitely. The first is good and flashy, but it looks TO flashy… like a TV commercial or something. While Uimhir a hAon reflects the Irish colors, I think it is to much. Uimhir a Do lets the eye wander over the Irish scene, and then to the info at the bottom.
Uimhir a Dó The first is too word arty and looks like it’s targeting kids. The second looks more legit and is easier to read. It says “I am an awesome product that doesn’t need flash to sell myself; my simple elegance speaks to my ability to help you.” Or something like that.
These are my opinions, and as such, they are unquestionably true.
Looks like I may be in the minority here but I rather like #1. The colors appear to be much bolder and eye catching. They seem to better reflect the colors of the Irish National Flag which I thought was a nice touch as well.
That’s the dilemma. Although, as you say, it seems to be in one direction 🙂
Is maith liom uimhir a Dó.
Go raibh maith agat.
Uimhir a do
I like UIMHIR A DO.
Instead of your name alone, I suggest you put your face where Eoin presently is, with your name underneath the photo.
You have a very inviting face, Eoin, so don’t be shy!
I guess I’m hiding away 🙂 Thanks for voting, Paula. Nice to see you around.
Uimhir a Dó, definitely.
“Uimhir a Dó” 🙂
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a do!
Uimhir a dó
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a dó. Actually, I prefer the upper-half logo from #2 and the lower-half box from #1.
I like #2, and I am very slow at learning, but its fun and interesting.
Nice to hear you’ll keep at it all the same.
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó 🙂 Its easy to read. The first one looks a bit blurry.
Uimhir a Dó. It just looks a little cleaner.
the first is a little flashy but maybe that’s what we need, somthing to catch people’s eye, but still even though, i prefer number 2 Uimhir a do, because it’s much easier on the eye, and thats what the language is all about, irish is soothing, relaxing, and overall just a beautiful language. so…
uimhir a do
I like number two best.
Uimhir a dó. The first is too flashy.
one is in your face, two is more pure, but shouldn’t it have been called ‘Learn Gaelic with Eoin’?? My vote two
nah, irish is fine, if you just say gaelic, it will confuse people, because gaelic can refer to scottish, irish, [i think] cornish, or manx gaelic. forgive me if i made a mistake in the diff. gaelics.
Interesting discussion! As a compromise we could have said “Learn Irish Gaelic with Eoin”. Trouble is, as Jordan says, “Gaelic” often leads to misunderstandings between the different Gaelics.
Mike: I’m curious, would you say that there is Gaelic in Scotland as well as in Ireland?
I like the green and keep it simple!!!
I like them both, but have a slight preference for No. 2.
Nice to read your site, thanks for sharing.
uimhir a do 🙂
Uimhir a Dó. It looks modern, but without being too gimmicky. (i.e. It still retains the traditional “feel” associated with the Irish language.)
Uimhir a do. It looks calming and serene. One is an assault on the senses with too many colors vying for attention!
Thanks Laurie 🙂
Both are lovely designs, but … I do prefer “Uimhir a Dó” (number two). thank you for your strong efforts to spread the knowledge of Irish Gaelic!
Moreover, thanks to you for being involved.
Uimhir a Dó. Easier to read, and still attractive.
Uimhir a Dó!
Uimhir a hAon. The background is not as busy and the description block is sharper and easier to read.
2.“Uimhir a Dó”
No contest, Uimhir a Dó.
Uimhir a Dó
Uimhir a Dó. Easier to read. Although uimhir a hAon is brighter (eye candy). Perhaps making one as a combination of the two?? I like the flag at the bottom of uimhir a hAon and the brighter orange.
Uimhir a Dó Easier on the eyes
Uimhir a Dó.
Uimhir a do I prefer this one as it shows the irish country side allot more than the first one, and it looks allot mor profesional,
Uimhir a Dó. It’s cleaner and there’s more of the background.
2.
Uimhir a Dó 🙂
Uimhir a Dó
uimhir a dó
uimhi a dó
UIMHIR A DO’ !!!!!!!!!!
Uimhir a Dó – much classier and easier to read!
Uimhir a Dó – Classy, the other one looks too ‘cartoonish’.
Uimhir a Dó – Cleaner, more professional, and a bit more scenery in the background!
Uimhir a Do, it’s easier on my eyes.
“Uimhir a hAon” but I feel “Uimhir a Dó” may win!! Uimhir a hAon just look more modern and current. Uimhir a Dó looks old fashion.
Uimhir a hAon
Uimhir a Do — classy and inviting!
Uimhir a Do
Uimhir a do!
Uimhir a Dó. Cleaner, easier to read and a “Grand” Irish look.
Uimhir a Dó! It’s inviting, whereas uimhir ahAon feels too in my face. I do like the font used in the small copy on uimhir ahAon too. Maybe combine? Also, have you considered capitalizing your name? Best! I love watching your enterprise grow!!!
It’s all one little step at a time 🙂 Thanks for sticking with us.
Uimhir a Dó
This one is much easier to read. Not so busy.
Went to Ireland in September. What a fantastic trip! It is so beautiful and everybody was friendly and helpful. I could even understand a little Irish when it was spoken. I got all nervous and confused and couldn’t speak but it is a start. I will keep at it a little at a time so when I come back I can reply properly!
Nice one. Glad you enjoyed your trip. How did you get to hear Irish spoken? (I ask, since you usually have to seek it out).
Uimhir a dó 🙂
Eoin
I vote for Uimhir a dó. The color contrasts are prettier and proportions respected.
Go maire tú!
Uimhir a do!!!
Uimhir a do. Es ist besser erkennbar. Das
andere Cover scheint zu nervös.
Liebe Grüsse
Uimhir a Dó, for sure.
Uimhir a Dó !
Uimhir a Do
Uimhir a Do. It’s clearer. The first one is too flashy and I can’t see the landscape behind the writing. But can’t you combine them? The “Learn Irish with Eoin” from the second one, and the small writing from the first one. Just a thought.
The small writing in the first is more clear, that’s true.
Uimhir a Dó.
Is fearr liom Uimhir a Dó …
Is fear liom uimhir a dó 🙂
Although, why not include the “Bitesize Irish Gaelic” logo on the cover? (the one on this site) It’s a clever logo, and is a little more iconic and eye-catching, and then coupled with the more mature, second design would be really good.
Thanks for the suggestion, Steven. As it stand, I think the logo might have trouble vying for attention with the rest of the cover, what do you think?
“Uimhir a Dó”
The first one is just a little too much somehow. 🙂
Uimhir a hAon: Feels very happy and popped out and eager, the brighter tones and colors along with the diagonal taking action feeling label makes for excitement.
Uimhir a Dó: Feels quiet, calm. The darker tone and deeper colors feel peaceful.
I am quite excited to learn Irish and I feel like Uimhir a hAon portrays my eager (though I do love the calmness of the second).
🙂 Besides, I’m a game developer and action and excitement is what I do.
Game developer, nice! Where are you based?
Sorry about that, was busy there for a bit. I am based in Southern California, not my favorite place in the world :/ but does make for a lot of jobs haha.
Nice to hear about the jobs. I wouldn’t complain too much about Southern California, but I guess it’s all based on perspective 🙂
uimhir a do
Why don’t you show Irish people speaking?
It looks like an ad for some ‘yellow brick road’
Even a ‘bitesize’ photo of two people talking would be an improvement
It is the human element of the language development that concerns me…
True about the human aspect of it.
So what do you mean about the yellow brick road exactly…?

“Uimhir a hAon”. I like this one because it pops out and catches my eye!
A special voter! Thanks for adding your choice.
“Uimhir a Dó”. The title is presented concisely and catches your eye at the very beginning. #1 seems to be more all over the page with different colors which is a bit more confusing. If I were to see these two covers side-by-side in a store, I would definitely look at #2 first. Also, #1 seems to shout more commercialism, where #2 is more subtle & conventional, which I personally prefer.
Thanks, it’s not commercialism we want to convey, of course. The audio lessons are closer to what you might have with your cup of tae 🙂
“Uimhir a Dó”
It feels cleaner … more adult
I am so grateful for your mini lessons — coming to Ireland next April!
Blessings, Angelica
Thanks for the added feedback. Looking forward to your trip?

It looks more like it’s something that adults can use. The first one looks more like a program for kids. Also, the emerald in the background is a nice touch. Goes well with learning the language of the Emerald Isle.
