VIDEO: Otter enjoying the rain in Limerick city center

Limerick canal Ireland
Early Winter morning view of Limerick, with the canal leading into the city

We make Bitesize Irish Gaelic from Limerick, Ireland.

It’s not every day we get to see an otter, so it was great to see this on during a heavy rain shower:

Wait for it…

Nice rain, right?

Limerick city is at the mouth of the River Shannon, the longest river in Ireland. It’s recently caused some pain to local residents after it burst its banks (the day after we took the video). But we still appreciate her majestically winding past old King John’s Castle, and past the city center.

Here’s literally two minutes later, with lots more sunshine, and the otter is still enjoying life:

Hope you enjoyed this moment from Ireland. Please share it on.
