Irish Every Day - that's our motto at Bitesize Irish. Get our free weekly newsletter for tips and content for how to achieve it in your life.

His fascination with Irish stemmed from his exploration of endangered languages, recognising the cultural importance and identity tied to these languages and their speakers. This, alongside his introduction to Irish music motivated him to start learning Gaeilge.

He shares how he uses the language in his family life with his children, as well as at work.

‘I’m going to learn this as best as I can and I’m going to do what I can to make sure people know that we do have a language and that it should be spoken and remembered.’

It seems that Walter really has embraced our motto here at Bitesize; Gaeilge Gach Lá!

It just goes to show that you do not need to live in Ireland to learn and use Irish every day.

Go raibh míle maith agat, a Walter agus lean ort!

Hi Walter, I’m no longer in MO but worked as an OBGYN for almost 20 yrs and I have interest in learning Irish!
Where in MO are you if I may ask?

      1. Tá mé i mo chonaí i St. Louis! D’fhoghlaim mé Gaeilge nuair a bhí mé i mo chonaí i mBoston, ach tá mé fós ag lorg daoine a cleachtadh liom anseo.
