Ireland and the U.S. have a lot of things in common. Both of these countries and their people struggled, but managed to break connections from the “mother land” and to establish themselves at independent states. 

Blood has been spilled and hard work was put in so both countries can be independent. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why there is such a strong connection between Irishmen and Americans.

In a few days, the U.S. will celebrate their Independence day and we thought it was a good idea for the American people to know how to say “Independence day” in Irish Gaelic. Well, not just the Americans but also the millions of Irish immigrants that moved from Ireland in the past centuries.
