Crack Irish pronunciation

If you’re a learner, in Irish we say you’re a “foghlaimeoir“. But how would you even go about pronouncing that word? How would you break down a relatively simple word such as “talamh” (ground)?

The truth is that Irish is written usually exactly as it sounds. It’s just that it follows a different set of rules for how spoken sounds are represented by letters of the alphabet.
