Bitesize Irish turns 11 years old in August 2021! If you’d like to share some kind words, please leave a reply below.
Mo bhuíochas leis an bhfoireann ag Bitesize Irish le bliain anuas – Siobhán agus Emma, agus ar ndóidh Aisling agus Gabrielle roimhe sin.
Thanks to each and every person who has been involved in Bitesize Irish through the last year. That’s especially to our Explore and Grow members who are growing and practicing Gaeilge with us.
We’re especially heartened at the increase of people in Ireland who are taking up Irish, and coming back to the Irish language, with Bitesize Irish.
— Eoin, Bitesize Irish

La breithe sona Daoibh Siobhan agus Emma agus Eoin and the rest of the Irish team! My father would be so delighted that I’ve taken up the Irish language!

Go Raibh maith a gaibh!

PS hope I got this greeting right!
🍀🎂👏🏻🥳😊
You did indeed, Ruth. Go raibh míle maith agat!
Yay! It’s working at Bitesize Irish!
Thank you Bitesize and Happy Birthday. Your site has really made the language come alive for me over the last few months, after the Duolingo course. I’ve not yet made the full commitment to Gaeilge Gach La via Grow, but I’m building up to it via the starter exercises more regularly which has proved a great way to start and explore correct pronunciation particularly. Keep up the good, inspiring work!
Go hiontach, Mark. Go raibh maith agat!
Happy Birthday and keep up the good work! You are appreciated!
La’breithe shona duit go leir. Is foghlaim a’l aiainn leat. I am really loving learning the Irish language. Dee (South Africa)
Breithlá shona daoibh, Bitesize Irish! Mo mhíle buíochas libh as gach rud a déanann sibh! Hopefully I said that right! Is breá liom ag foghlaim gaeilge. Cabhraíonn siad mé go leor na cúrsaí a tugann tú! (dúinn?) Hopefully I said that right, as well. Thank you for everything! I’ve only been an explore member for a few months now but I’m loving it and what you all do to teach an teanga álainn seo is wonderful. I’ve been wanting to learn Irish for a while, now. My mother is from Finglas and my Aunt and cousins are all living around Dublin. My uncle is over in Ballivor. When I told my mother I was trying to seriously learn Irish she told me I’d have to teach her! She wishes she’d spent more time learning it before she moved to the US. She didn’t get a lot of Irish when she was young but she remembers a few words and shared with me a funny anecdote about the nuns at her school always saying “cois amach!!” And how that made that one particular phrase stick in her head. It’s been wonderful to immerse myself further in a language I’ve long admired and a culture I’ve only had a bit of exposure to through my mother. I’ve only been to Ireland as an infant as I developed a fear of flying as I got older. But once the pandemic clears enough to travel I intend to visit my family in their home turf and to hopefully visit the west coast and get exposed to the language even further. So thank you all so much! (Sorry about the long winded post! I really appreciate you all!)
Sounds great, Thomas. You will enjoy it when you visit, it will be worth the wait.
Go raibh míle maith agat!
